Wednesday Night Disco Music

Every year in May, mountain bikers from across the region congregate in Mill Mountain Park for the Wednesday Night Disco Mountain Bike Race Series. Racers and spectators alike can enjoy beautiful sunset views from atop Mill Mountain, live music, craft beer and food truck treats. This year, Roanoke Parks and Recreation is seeking applications from local bands to play all three nights in the series.

If selected, your band must be available to play on Wednesday, May 10, May 17 and May 24 from 6:00 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. The band will be paid $500 for all three nights. There will be a crowd of roughly 100 people. Beer and food are available on-site but are not free for the musicians. All interested musicians should fill out the application below! Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2017. If you have any questions, please contact Renee Powers, the program supervisor, at renee.powers@roanokeva.gov

Update: Applications have closed and the 2017 Disco Series Band has been selected.
