Do you feel that Roanoke’s Greenways need more public art? If so, is there a particular type of art that you would enjoy in a Greenway setting? Now is your chance to give us your feedback.
Working with the Roanoke Arts Commission, researcher Heather Lyne is using a John E. Dooley grant from Virginia Tech to launch a new “Public Art on the Greenway Survey.” Data from the brief 17-question survey will help Lyne examine correlations between art and the public’s perception of Roanoke’s greenways. Both City and non-City residents who use the Greenway system are invited to give feedback before Dec. 1. Lyne and the Roanoke Arts Commission will use your input to work on a new art installation for the Greenway, but the data will also help inform other Greenway projects.
