Roanoke’s Annual Outdoors Festival Music Scene Grows

September 28, 2017 Whitney Slightham

Live musicRoanoke’s annual Anthem GO Outside Festival (GO Fest) continues to get bigger and better each year. Taking place in River’s Edge Sports Complex, the free three-day outdoor recreation festival attracted 30,000 people in 2016. For the second year, Roanoke Parks and Recreation and Roanoke Outside have partnered with Across-the-Way Productions to build GO Fest’s musical lineup. Musicians will start grooving at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and are playing all day long at two different stages. After the music is over, attendees are invited to dance at a Silent Disco in the ENO tent and hammock lounge. You won’t want to miss the festival’s headliner, Marcus King Band, who will hit the stage at 9:15 p.m. on Oct. 14!
